Koofr company won the Start:Up Slovenia 2013 competition. It was founded on February 2013 by developers and entrepreneurs from XLAB research.

XLAB company is cooperating with Slovenian Administration for civil protection and disaster relief for more than 4 years. During all this time, we became involved in many different project concerning civil protection and met a lot of rescue organizations. We realised, that they need a good solution for locating people calling to 112 emergency number from their mobiles.

We decided to developed a solution, called Smart Locator, which we were successfully presenting to members of EENA @ The EU Emergency Services Workshop 2013, which took place in Riga, last week.

XLAB company became a member of EENA (European Emergency Number Association).

Hiking edition of our 3D visualization tool, Gaea+ is used by more and more people, who like mountains. They simply install Hiking Gaea+ from website and they already can search over 9 kilometers of hiking paths in Slovenia. It is very useful also on winter time, because conditions in the mountains are more difficult. The hiking trip or ski-tour is much more safer, when viewing paths in 3D mode or soon on a mobile devices (watch the TV article). 

XLAB research created a 3D race track visualization for news portal Planet Siol.net. They were official media partner of the bicycle race across Slovenia 2012 and just won SPORTO award in category Best digital communication. 

XLAB research and Innovatif created a brand new website for Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of the Sciences and Arts. At the competition NETKO 2012, it was ranked among the three best in its category (presentation of the company and corporate communications). The national competition for best digital project, was organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.

ECO game SMETris was originaly created by XLAB research and organization Ecologists without borders in 2010. Today, 2 years later (the idea of the game is still the same - wastes that can be recycled), the game was redesigned by a company Interseroh Slovenija and presented at the 45th International Trade Fair - Celjski sejem.
