Gregor Pipan
received his M.Sc.Degree in the year 2000 at
University of Ljubljana, Faculty for computer science and informatics,
with title: Computing on a cluster of computers. Currently he is
working on PhD, in the field of distributed computing, with research
focus on convergence of Grid andpeer-to-peer systems. He is specially interested in resource discovery

As researcher he has participated on several research projects in the area of distributed systems:
DeDiSys - Dependable Distributed Systems– FP6 2004-2007,
GRID distributed resource directory 2003-2005,
GRID computational services 2004-2006, MOSAICA - FP6 2006-2008, XtreemOS - FP6 2006-2010, Grid - Meta-service, Service composition - national targeted research project -2006-2008, Grid - Efficient resource usage - national targeted research project -2006-2008.
Other Research project include:
tOSSad - towards Open Source Software adoption and dissemination 2005-2007, Interactive visualisation of flooding areas - national targeted research project -2006-2008.
He is also an co-author of several publications in the field. He has
participated on several development projects, where he performed the
tasks of system design, implementation, documentation and project
management.
He is a member of ACM.
